ULXD4Q houses 4 independent digital receivers in a rugged, single-rack unit with an internal power supply. Two Ethernet ports support Dante digital audio, while RF cascade ports allow for antenna signal distribution to another receiver unit. Audio summing enables the receiver to function as a 4-channel mixer.

The ULX-D Series simplifies the set up and management of large numbers of wireless systems. It is ideal for professional sound reinforcement applications in large live venues and houses of worship, as well as A/V installations in conference, educational, and corporate facilities. Compatible with a wide selection of Shure transmitters and mic capsules, it delivers pristine 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio, capturing every detail with clarity, accurate low end, and crisp transient response.

The ULX-D operates in the UHF band, utilizing Digital Predictive Switching Diversity to protect the transmission from interference, delivering rock-solid RF signal stability without audio artifacts. In Standard mode you can run up to 17 channels per 6 MHz TV channel, at a range up to 330′. Alternatively, the High-Density mode lets you run up to 47 channels per 6 MHz TV channel, at a maximum range of 98′. The system offers AES-256 encryption for security.

Each receiver module has its own audio and RF meters, 60 dB of gain control, and XLR output. A large LCD screen and intuitive controls let you quickly make adjustments, even in low-light situations. Additional features include automatic frequency scanning, IR sync, gain optimization to match any input source, and internal limiting to prevent clipping.

The Ethernet ports also allow multiple receivers to be easily networked together for simplified frequency coordination and deployment via Shure’s Wireless Workbench software. In addition, the Channels Mobile App enables you to control the system remotely from an iOS device.

The DX168 is a rugged, 96kHz portable expander for adding remote I/O to a dLive, Avantis or SQ system, or to the AHM-64 audio matrix processor.

Each DX168 features 16 mic preamps with independent Phantom Power LED indicators, plus 8 XLR line outs.

The DX168 connects via a single Cat5e cable to the dLive Surface, MixRack, SQ mixer, Avantis mixer or upstream DX168 via a secure EtherCon port. A second locking EtherCon port is provided for redundant connection to compatible hardware, or for daisy-chaining to a downstream DX168 for additional remote I/O.

The Expander’s rugged design, with hard-wearing rubber bumpers, allows it to be placed directly on the stage floor during performances. Weighing in at just 4.8kg and featuring a sturdy carry handle, the DX168 offers the convenience and portability needed in rental, education, houses of worship and many other environments. An optional 4U rack mounting kit is available which allows installation in industry standard 19-inch racks.

 

With dLive
Up to 6 DX168 units can be connected directly to a dLive system – 4 via the MixRack and 2 via the Surface – allowing up to 96 remote inputs and 48 remote outputs in addition to those provided by the MixRack and Surface. More units can be connected via the dLive DX Link card or DX Hub.

With Avantis
Two units can be daisy chained and connected directly to an Avantis SLink port. Up to 16 DX168 units can be added to an Avantis system via DX Link card and/or DX Hubs.

With SQ
Two units can be daisy chained and connected directly to an SQ SLink port, with the optional SLink card for SQ enabling more connections. For a more distributed system, a DX Hub can handle up to 8 DX168 units which can be freely patched to the SQ’s 48 input channels.

With AHM-64
Two units can be daisy chained and connected directly to an AHM-64 SLink port. Up to 8 DX168 units can be added to an AHM-64 system via a DX Hub and freely patched to the 64 input channels.

In Digital USB Mode
The USB DI Plus has an inbuilt 24 bit High Resolution digital to analog converter (DAC) which removes the need to use a Computer’s existing internal sound card outputs, with their inherent noise and distortion.

The USB DI Plus installs as a fully compatible generic “Plug and Play” USB audio device, requiring no special driver program installation.

The USB DI Plus’s DAC delivers Professional Line Level audio signals to Left and Right balanced XLR outputs.

When switched to USB mode the USB DI Plus is powered via the USB cable, so no batteries or phantom power required to use it.

In Analog Mode:
Many Tablet Devices, Phones and iPads have no direct USB Digital Audio output, and interfacing their Audio with the professional world of balanced audio can be problematic.

Switching the USB DI Plus to Analog mode effortlessly solves this problem by buffering the audio signal from the Headphone or Line output and producing a Professional Balanced Line Level audio signal on Left and Right balanced XLR outputs.

To ensure reliability, Analog mode is passive with no batteries or phantom power required for use.

Low Noise
Both the USB DI Plus Digital and Analog operating modes feature full transformer balanced output isolation. This eliminates earth loops / ground hum and helps remove extraneous interaction noise and distortion ensuring noise free operation even in the harshest audio environments.

Two Models
The USB DI Plus is available in two models:

USB DI Plus – Standard version, with no external gain / volume control, making it as Tamper Proof as possible. Straightforward Plug-and-Play makes it ideal for Production Companies.

USB DI Plus VC – Still Plug-and-Play but with an external gain / volume control allowing users to vary the sound levels at a distance from the mixing console.

The front panel has a Type B USB input connector, plus a Mini-Jack stereo Analog input, as well as two 6.5mm Left and Right analog jack inputs. A front panel switch will switch between the USB or Analog Inputs

The rear has two transformer balanced analog audio XLR Line out connectors for connecting to any standard balanced analog input, with a Mono Outputs switch and an audio Ground lift switch

A USB status LED on the front panel indicates that the USB DI Plus is connected and operating in USB mode.

The USB DI Plus is housed in a heavy duty all-steel chassis finished in attractive matt textured polyurethane, with hardwearing epoxy screen printing and slip resistant rubber base pad.

It is ideal for interfacing any USB equipped computer (especially notebook computers) with the balanced inputs of professional sound systems.

The new Allen & Heath ZED10 multi purpose mixer for live sound & recording

The ZED-10 is the smallest mixer ever from Allen & Heath but as you’d expect its big on features. Part of the USB-equipped live performance, recording and production ZED range the new additions are simple, ultra compact mixers built to a professional standard, which will suit a wide range of applications including solo artists, bands, schools, houses of worship and conference facilities.

It emulates the valve/tube input circuitry commonly found on instrument combos or amps. In addition the ZED-10 can handle up to four microphones and two stereo sources: iPod, CD player etc.

Main stereo outs are on XLR and additional outs include a separate 2-track record, comprehensive monitoring with headphones and separate monitor speaker out. The USB handles both send and return for PC or Mac recording, playback and effects.

Equipped with a 3-band swept-mid EQ on mono inputs and a 2-band EQ on the stereo channels, the ZED-10 has a wealth of professional standard features including high gain low noise pre-amps, two aux sends (one pre and one post fade) for monitors and FX, and a separately switched stereo bus, which can be routed to from any channel creating a selective recording bus, monitoring bus or stereo clean feed output.

The ZED-10FX adds a set of premium quality effects derived from Allen & Heath’s pro touring digital consoles ranging from classic reverbs and cascaded delay plus reverbs to shimmering flanger and chorus effects.

Not only are the ZED mini mixers versatile for such a small console but they also offer Allen & Heath’s top rate professional quality in both construction and sound. AB168 is a portable remote AudioRack for use with the Allen & Heath SQ, GLD and Qu series consoles in live and installation settings.

Including 16 mic preamps with Phantom Power indicators and 8 XLR line outs, AB168 runs on Allen & Heath’s proprietary dSNAKE protocol. Adding an AB168 to a SQ, Qu or GLD system allows some or all I/O to be positioned up to 120m from the mixer. The unit connects over a single Cat5 cable to the SQ/Qu/GLD mixer or AR2412 AudioRack via a secure dSNAKE EtherCon port. A second EtherCon port is provided for daisy-chaining to another AB168 box or connection of a ME personal mixing system. 

The rack’s rugged design, including rubber bumpers, renders it highly roadworthy and allows it to be placed on the stage floor during performances. Weighing in at just 4.8kg and featuring a sturdy carry handle, AB168 is also designed for maximum convenience and portability. An optional rack mounting kit is also available.
